Best hiring signals API in 2026

Six APIs that turn public hiring activity into a signal you can build on — judged on evidence, freshness, delivery and pricing honesty. Updated October 2026.

Disclosure: Reqbeat wrote this page and Reqbeat is on the list, in first place. We earn the right to publish it anyway by being specific about the criteria, sourcing every claim from the vendor's own site (October 2026), and saying clearly which jobs each competitor does better than we do.

What "best" should mean for a hiring signals API

A hiring signal is only worth acting on if you can defend it. Before the list, the four tests we scored against — the same standard we hold ourselves to on the method page:

  • Evidence. Does each signal link to a checkable artifact — the real posting, ideally the ATS source — or just a record in someone's database?
  • Freshness you can verify. Not "real-time" in the marketing; a stated cadence, and a detection timestamp on each row.
  • Delivery. Can it push (webhooks) as well as pull (REST), and can an agent consume it (MCP)? How does it treat duplicates and repostings?
  • Pricing honesty. A free way in without a sales call, published prices, and a cost model you can cap.

1. Reqbeat — best for event-driven GTM

Reqbeat (ours) treats a hiring signal as an event, not a database row. You register a watch — a company or a saved search, with your webhook URL — and new matching reqs are pushed to you, typically hours after they go live: the corpus re-reads every 3 hours across 7 regions. Every payload carries the real posting with its ATS link and the board it was detected on; repeat and re-posted ads collapse under a published dedup rule; and when we have no coverage for a company the API answers no_ats_signal — unknown, never "no". Delivery is webhook, REST, MCP or a Clay column, and the free tier (3 watches, 50 delivered changes a month) needs no card.

Weak spots, honestly: no historical archive for market research, no technographics product, and no people data at all — the last is a feature for compliance-minded teams but a gap if you wanted one-vendor convenience.

2. TheirStack — best for tech-stack targeting and posting history

TheirStack pairs a large posting dataset — 251M postings, 195 countries, by their numbers — with its real differentiator: technographics across 33,000 tracked technologies. Filters are deep, webhooks are available on API plans, and there is an MCP offering. Pricing is credit-based (packs for the app, monthly credit subscriptions for the API), which rewards batch-style usage and takes some modeling for continuous feeds. Full head-to-head: Reqbeat vs TheirStack.

3. PredictLeads — best multi-signal bundle for AI agents

PredictLeads covers job openings (270M+ records back to 2016, by their numbers) plus news events, funding rounds and technology detections, delivered over REST, flat files, webhooks and MCP. If you want several company-signal families from one contract — and warehouse-friendly bulk delivery — it is the strongest bundle on this list. The trade-off is that hiring is one product line among many, not the core contract.

4. Mantiks — best when the signal must come with a contact

Mantiks is a recruiter-oriented prospecting platform: it detects hiring needs and attaches the likely decision-maker with LinkedIn, email and phone. One API covers search, monitoring and enrichment; there is a 7-day trial. If your workflow ends in "who do I call", Mantiks compresses two purchases into one. If bundled person data is a compliance problem rather than a convenience, it is disqualifying.

5. Coresignal — best raw postings data at bulk

Coresignal sells the raw material: 482M+ postings, 85+ fields, history to 2020 (their numbers), as bulk datasets and APIs. It is built for data teams making their own products and models, and it is very good at that. It is not an actionable-signal product — you build the watching, dedup and alerting yourself.

6. Crustdata — best enrichment graph with signals attached

Crustdata is a people-and-company data layer — 1B+ people, 60M+ companies, by their numbers — where job, headcount and funding signals ride along with enrichment, over API, webhooks, datasets and MCP. Strong when you want one graph for enrichment and monitoring; hiring-signal depth (posting-level evidence, published dedup semantics) is not the focus.

Most of these have free tiers or trials. The honest evaluation is empirical: pick two, point both at the same slice of your ICP for a week, and compare what lands — count duplicates, check timestamps, click the evidence links. How to get a webhook when a company posts a job is the 15-minute version of that test on our side; the deeper background lives in the hiring signals guide. If you are shopping the data category rather than the GTM one, the same field is re-ranked in the best job posting APIs in 2026.

Benchmarks are free to run here. Watch your ICP for a week and judge the payloads.
